BETZ JOSEPH R. "JOE" Age 63, of East McKeesport, died on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A son of the late John "Jack" and Josephine "Jo" (Casey) Betz; beloved husband of Peggy (McKnight) Betz; dear father of Gene (Rhonda) Zuro; grandfather of Samantha, Johnathan, and Nicholas Zuro; brother of Patricia "Pat" (Tim) Dalton and Jack (Toni) Betz; son-in-law of Angie Pash; brother-in-law of Barbara Socci; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, PA 15148, (412) 824-4332 on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-8 p.m. Prayer Service in the funeral home on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
