William F. "Bill" Chabanik

William F. “Bill” Chabanik, of North Versailles, went on to repair heavens gates, on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the age of 88. Bill was the devoted husband of the late Ethel (Boyd) Chabanik of 41 years. He was the loving father of Monica (late Robert) Kitta, Linda Carlson, Margaret (late Nicholas) Ursta, Roseanne (late Michael) Debruyn, late Helen Chabanik; step-father of Derek and William Painter. He was the proud grandfather of Ashley, Jeffrey (Amy), Cody, Adam, and the late Michael; great-grandfather of Blake, Chloe, Sophia, and Jemma. Bill was the son of the late Stephen and late Veronica (Veeter) Chabanik. Brother of Helen (Matt) Mathew, Bernadine (late Joseph) McGowan, Louise (Lou) Krall, late Patricia (late John) Deal, Richard (Jeanette) Chabanik, and late Stephen (Margot) Chabanik.

Bill was the proud owner of Safe Guard Fence in North Versailles for over 50. He worked diligently to make his business a success. Upon his retirement, he was proud that his grandson's, Jeffrey and Cody, used the training from their grandpap to start their own fencing company. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. Family was most important to Bill, including his beloved friends. 

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, December 12, from 2pm to 8pm in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. Parting Prayers will be said in the funeral home on Friday, December 13, at 9:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, North Huntingdon.
