Nephews: Michael "Mickey" Alexander, Lance Alexander, and Carl Paesano (with who she shared a very special bond).
Dolly enjoyed music, especially live entertainment. She never missed an opportunity to see her favorite acts and would always be dancing in her chair to the beat. Her favorite was Elvis and even in her final days found comfort in his songs.
For decades Dolly's home was the gathering place for family holidays. She enjoyed hosting and sharing her favorite family recipes, many of which are carried on today by loved ones.
Dolly retired from the North Versailles K-Mart as manager of the cigar, candy, and deli counter. She always greeted customers with her smiling face and pleasant demeanor.
She was a critical link to the past and will be greatly missed by all who took great pleasure in listening to her many interesting tales of family lore and Wilmerding, Pa, where she grew up.
A special thank you to the William Penn Senior Suites and William Penn Care Center in Jeannette, PA and Bridges Hospice for their dedicated care.
As we mourn her loss, we also rejoice in the fact that we were blessed to know Dolly. We take solace in knowing that she will be reunited with all of those whom she had loved and lost through the years.
Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, May 7, from 10am to 11:30am in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332.
