Veronica A. Greenidge was born on October 4, 1960, in Christ Church, Barbados, West Indies. She attended Forest Hill High School and graduated with the Class of 1978. After graduation, she continued her education and received her certification in financing.

At the age of 19, Veronica married the love of her life, Wayne Greenidge Sr. They were blessed with two children: Wayne Jr. and Nikeea.

Veronica pursued a career in banking for over 25 years, working at Chemical Bank and later First National Bank. She later changed her career path and began working for University Maryland Medical Center in the Administration/Cancer Department.

Veronica was the life of the party—you heard her voice before you saw her! She loved to dance, especially to house music, and every Sunday morning, gospel music could be heard throughout her home while she cooked breakfast. She loved to cook, laugh, and bring people together.

Veronica was always stylish and carried herself with grace. Her personality was strong, kind, and caring—she would help anyone and give them the shirt off her back. She always made you feel loved and special. She will always be remembered for her bright, robust, and happy spirit.

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, after a lengthy illness, Veronica’s earthly journey came to an end as she transitioned peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.

Veronica leaves to cherish her loving memory: her son Wayne Greenidge Jr., her daughter and Nikeea Greenidge, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, and many dear friends.

Veronica, affectionately known as “Ronnie,” will forever be remembered for her laughter, generosity, and radiant soul. She lived life with joy, faith, and strength — and she celebrated her 65th birthday with great excitement and gratitude.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
