Sylvia (Basile) Mondelli

Sylvia (Basile) Mondelli, of North Versailles, peacefully passed on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the age of 95. Sylvia was preceded in passing by her devoted husband, Dominick. She was the special Aunt of Millie (Bill) DeMore, Cindy (late Tony) D’Imperio, and Alex (Lucy) DeBlasio. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Berta Nesta, great nieces, great nephews, and all who loved her.  In addition to her husband, Sylvia was preceded in passing by her parents, John and Augusta Basile, and sisters, Rose Barrett and Carmella DeBlasio. 

Sylvia loved to travel to Las Vegas with her husband. Over the years she organized many trips to Vegas and to Wildwood, NJ. She also loved to dance. 

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, from 11am to Noon at the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home at noon. Sylvia will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Dominick, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, North Versailles.
