Susan (Volpe) Potochnik

June 21, 1931 - September 18, 2021

Peacefully passed on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the age of 90, with her loving family at her side. Susan was the devoted wife of Robert Potochnik Sr. Loving mother of Dominic (Judy) and Robert (Colleen) Jr.; beloved grandmother of Liza (Johnny) Matthews, Lacey (Brent) Garner, Cody (Allie) Potochnik, Heather (Joe Kurcina) Potochnik, and Danielle Potochnik; adoring great-grandmother of Adalyn and Riley. She is also survived by her brother, Dominic Volpe , numerous nieces nephews and friends. Susan was preceded in passing by her parents, Michael and Margaret (Patella) Volpe, and her siblings, Al Volpe, Teresa Dauson, Lillian Haugh and Angeline Moroso.

Susan was a Crossing Guard for the Woodland Hills School District for 25 years. She loved Bingo, western movies, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She will always be remembered for her kindness and compassion.

Family and friends are welcome in Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, PA, 15148, 412-824-4332, on Tuesday from 2pm to 8pm. A Blessing Service will be held in funeral home on Wednesday at 10am. Susan will be laid to rest in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
