Obituary
Samuel “Sam” Karas, of North Huntingdon, peacefully passed on July 2, 2023, at the age of 83, with his beloved family at his side. Sam was the loving father of Melissa Karas, stepfather of Gina Stevens and Larry (Kristel) Fiasco; proud grandfather of Jacob “Jake” and Matthew Shaffer. He is also survived by his loving companion, Lisa Berardi, brothers, Douglas Karas, and Daniel Karas, numerous other family members, and many friends. He was preceded in passing by his parents, John and Milka (Savic) Karas, and brothers, Theodore “Teddy” Karas and Milovan “Butch” Karas.
He was a loving and dedicated father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family. Sam was a proud U.S. Army Veteran.
Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, July 4, from 2pm to 8pm in the Alfieri Funeral Home Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11am, with Father Stefan Djoric Officiating. Full Military Honors will follow outside.
