Samuel J. Nania

Samuel J. Nania, of Monroeville, peacefully passed on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the age of 83. Samuel was the devoted husband of Concetta “Connie” (Cervi) Nania for 63 wonderful years. He was the loving father of Samuel J. (Robin) Nania Jr., Jeffrey (Linda) Nania, and Anthony L. (Renee) Nania. He was the proud grandfather of Tara Nania and Brianna (Jeremy) Dawson; great-grandfather of Ava Dawson, Alayna Dawson, and Amira Dawson. Samuel is also survived his brother, Nicholas J. (Joan) Nania Jr., numerous, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Anna Marie (Mammarelli) and Nicholas Nania Sr.

Samuel worked as a Security Guard at Allegheny General Hospital for 28 years. He was big on physical fitness and worked at the PA Athletic Club or 28 years. He loved to ride his bike and was an avid runner who completed 12 marathons. He was a Lay Minister at St. Colman Church in Turtle Creek and volunteered at the food bank. Samuel also loved classic cars.  Above all, his greatest joy was his family. He will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. 

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 2pm to 8pm at the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332.
