Sam J. “Butch” Bacco, of Pitcairn, passed unexpectedly on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the age of 82. Butch was the beloved father of Sam R. (Linda) Bacco, Tim Bacco, Tracy (Scott) Doms, and Kevin (Michelle) Bacco. He was the proud grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 6. Butch is also survived by his siblings, Barry (Gretchen) Bacco, Cathy Obman, and Christine (Skip) Crawford, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in passing by his loving wife, M. Kathleen “Kathy” (Remaley) Bacco, and parents, Samuel A. and Audrey (Smeltz) Bacco.
Butch was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, and hunter. He was a member of the Allison Park Sportsman Club and the Rox Sportsman Club. Butch was also a dedicated member of Pitcairn Presbyterian Church. He lived a life of service, and his love and care encompassed his entire family and extended to every friend he knew.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, from 2pm to 8pm at the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. A Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 11am in the funeral home. Please visit us at www.alfierifuneralhome.com for online condolences.
