Peacefully on June 20, 2019, age 82, of Wilmerding. Roy was born in Mahaffey, Pa to parents George and Alta (Owens) Young. Roy was the loving husband of the late Maxine (McWilliams) Young. Devoted father of Royanne (Pete) Grbach, Robin Nania, Randy (Leslie) Young and Renae Young. Proud grandfather of Brandon (Carolyn) Grbach, Austin Grbach, Shanna Grbach, Caden Grbach, Tara Nania, Brianna (Jeremy) Dawson, Ashley (Andy) Fabrizi, Joshua (Chelsea) Young, Stephanie Young (Fiance, Brandon Patriarco), Madison Young, Kerra Young and Brea (Christian) Larson. Great-grandfather of Lily, Owen, Ella, Ava, Alayna, Amira, Emma, Sofia, Liam, Jaxon, Kian, Olive, Tauriel, Lysander, Katara, Eowen. Roy is also survived by his brother, Duane (Claire) Young, nieces, nephews and friends. Roy was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a mechanic and owned Roy Young Auto Service for over 20 years. Family and friends received in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, 412-824-4332, on Sunday from 12pm to 8pm. Funeral service will be celebrated at Bridge City Church, North Braddock on Monday at 11am. Roy will be laid to rest in Monongahela Cemetery, Braddock with military honors.
