Rose (Pells) Drahusz of North Versailles

Peacefully passed on January 19, 2022, at the age of 81. Rose was the loving mother of Michael (Gail) Drahusz, MaryAnn (David) Russo; loving grandmother of Elaine Drahusz, Alexander Drahusz, Andrea Russo, Ethan Drahusz, Megan Russo. She was preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Peter Drahusz, parents, Nicholas and Helen (Smolnery) Pells, and her sister, Nancy (surviving George) Hawthorne. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Bill Drahucz, sister-in-laws, Helen Petrosky, Marge Zidanic, and Joann (Steve) Kopko, numerous nieces and nephews and friends. 

Rose was dedicated to the Ukrainian Catholic Church. She volunteered making pierogis. She was a member of the League of Ukrainian Catholics. Rose enjoyed being social at Point Pleasant in North Versailles. She loved taking trips to Disney World. She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and the time she spent with them. They were everything to her. 

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, January 21 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332. Parting Prayers will be held on Saturday at 10:15am. Divine Liturgy will be held at 11am at St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church, McKeesport.  Rose will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
