Robert M. Sanner Sr.

Robert M. Sanner Sr., of Wilmerding, peacefully passed Friday, November 8, 2024, just five days shy of his 78th birthday. Robert the devoted husband of the late Pauline Rose (Pickle) Sanner, who he loved and cherished for 52 years of marriage. He was the loving father of Paula Jo Sanner-Kirchner, Robert M. (Patricia) Sanner Jr., George (Marilyn) Sanner, and the late Chad (late Dawn) Sanner. Robert was the adoring grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 15. In addition to his wife, Pauline, and son, Chad, Robert was preceded in passing by his parents, Sarah E. (Gable) and George M. Sanner Jr.. 

Robert worked in the Shipping and Receiving Department of the Westinghouse Airbrake. He enjoyed collecting and displaying Lionel Trains. He had a passion for restoring antique cars and refurbishing antique furniture. His greatest joy was time spent with family and friends.

Roberts’s family extends their gratitude for the care that was given to him by the “Hospice Care and Compassion Team” at Forbes Regional Hospital.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, November 11, from 2pm to 7pm at the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home at 7pm. Robert will be laid to rest privately beside his beloved wife, Pauline, at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
