Peter Klipa, of Monroeville, Peacefully passed on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the age of 94, with his loving children at his side. Peter was the loving husband of the late Clara Klipa for 72 wonderful years. He was the loving father of James (Deborah) Klipa and Janet (Rudy) Shimonovich. Adoring Djedo of Jim (Adriana) Klipa, Dan (Lindsay) Klipa, Stacy (Ryan) Lentz, Joe (Jill) Klipa, and Amy (Joe) Yurko, and Great-Djedo of 15. He is also survived by his sister, Mary (late Silian) Silianoff, sister-in-law, Georgeann Klipa, brother-in-law, Richard Raczkiewicz, numerous nieces and nephews, and all who loved him. In addition to his wife, Clara, Peter was preceded in passing by his parents, Stevan and Evdokia “Victoria” (Panashuk) Klipa, and siblings, Michael Kubas, Josephine Craig, Amelia Opacic, Steve Klipa, and Betty Raczkiewicz.
Peter was a long and devoted member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Monroeville. He was a Sunday School Teacher for 46 years. He also enjoyed being the Groundskeeper of the church for many years. He also worked at WABCO for 44 years. He also was a member of SNF Lodge 7.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 2pm to 8pm in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332. A Pomen Service will be held in the funeral home at 7pm with Very Rev. Joe Cervo officiating. Additional Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9am till the time of service at 10 at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, Monroeville, with Very Rev. Stevan Rocknage officiating.
