Nancy "Nisty" (Petrocelli) Yothers

June 28, 1922 - September 2, 2021

On a bright September 2nd morning, Nancy “Nisty” Yothers went quietly to meet her Lord. She lived a good long life, being a friend to everyone and a helping hand to those in need. Nisty, as she was known, was preceded in death by her parents, Patsy and Florence Petrocelli, her brothers, Joe and Anthony Petrocelli, and her sister, Josie. But most in her heart was her beloved husband, Ralph, and grandson, Daniel, both who passed before her.

Left behind are her daughter, Nancy (Yothers) Lapcevich, son-in-law, George Lapcevich, and her loving grandson, James (Michele) Clifford, her loving nephew Tony (Marcie) Petrocelli, and her adopted in love granddaughters, Lynn Campbell and late Laura. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, James, Ashley, Michael, McKenna, Reanna and Sara, and great-great grandchildren Veda, Luca, Isla, Christopher, & Colin, sister-in-law, Pauline, nephew, Michael, and niece, Lisa. 

Nisty loved to bake and baked dozens of cookies for everyone’s wedding. She was also well known for her delicious homemade Italian cooking. When she wasn’t baking, cooking, or crocheting, Nisty enjoyed playing the slots at the casino.  Nisty also worked for Gateway School District in the cafeteria as a lunch lady.  

Family and friends are welcome in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa, 15148, 412-824-4332, on Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm and Wednesday from 2pm to 8pm. A Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 11am in the funeral home. Nisty will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Ralph, in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
