Mirene "Myra" (Plavsich) Zdrale

Mirene “Myra” (Plavsich) Zdrale, of Trafford, peacefully passed on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the age of 74. Myra was the beloved wife of Denny Zdrale. She was the loving mother of Dr. Nada Zdrale and Dr. Nikolai Sava (Alice) Zdrale; adoring grandmother of Kristijan, Adrian, and Samuel. Myra is also survived by her siblings, Nada (late Michael) Malen and Ljubica (late Petar) Krainovich, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Stanko and Dragica (Subatin) Plavsich, and siblings Milos and Svetozar Plavsich. 

Myra was a beautiful hostess who welcomed everyone into her home with grace and elegance. She was well known for her amazing cooking, especially her torta and ethnic cuisine. She was Co-Chair Woman at St. Sava Camp, Shadeland, Pa for a number of years. She was also a Former President of St. Nicholas Tamburitzans, Monroeville, Pa.  Myra loved her church family as her own. Above all, Myra loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, from 2pm to 8pm at the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. A Pomen Service will be held at 7pm. Additional visitation will be on Tuesday, from 10am to 11am at St. Nicholas Serbian Church, Monroeville. Funeral Services will be held at 11am with Father Stefan Djoric Officiating.
