Liberina “Rena” J. Brunori

February 16 1924 - December 5, 2020

Sadly passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the age of 96. Born in Turtle Creek, Pa, she was the daughter of Ettory and Angelina Bertolo. Known as “The Cake Lady”, Rena was a baker for over 60 years, retiring at the age of 90. Wedding cakes were her specialty, but cakes for all occasions were enjoyed by 4 generations of families. Rena was also known for her biscotti, especially during the holiday season. She was loved and will be missed by many. Rena’s memory will be cherished by her daughter Rena Jean and her husband, Chuck Piantiny; her son Rick and his wife, Hope.; her granddaughters Regina (Late Pete) Lehotay, Rita (Frank) Randall, Brianna and Gabby Brunori and her great-grandchildren, Alexander Lehotay, Paul Patterson, Dominic Randall, Thomas Randall, Olivia (Nick) Williams, Alayna Scalio; great-great grandchild, Sebastian Patterson, along with many other extended family members and friends. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, all services will be private. Arrangements will be entrusted to Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. A memorial to celebrate Rena’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Make A Wish Foundation in Rena’s memory.
