Lawrence "Dod" J. Jankowski

Lawrence “Dod” Joseph Jankowski Sr., of Monroeville, peacefully passed on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the age of 80. Dod was the devoted husband of the late Barbara (Moose) Jankowski for 45 years. He was the loving father of Janice (Paul) Sproull and Larry (Beth) Jankowski Jr. He was the proud grandfather of Ashley Jankowski (fiancé Anthony), Madeline (Logan) Moller, Amelia Jankowski, José Balza, Joseph (Brittany) Sproull Sr.; great-grandfather of Joey Sproull Jr. Dod is also survived by his brother, Gerald (Elisa) Jankowski, other relatives, and many friends. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he was preceded in passing by his parents, Lawrence and Helen (Kingerski) Jankowski, and brother, Joseph Jankowski. 

Dod was a longtime resident of Wilmerding. He was a respected U.S. Army Veteran. Dod was proud of his Polish Heritage and loved Polka music. He was also a diecast car enthusiast. Dod was a friend to everyone and will long be remembered for his good sense of humor. 

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, November 30, from 2pm to 8pm at Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10am. Dod will be laid to rest with Full Military Honors beside his beloved wife, Barbara, at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.
