Judy K. (Horton) Pfouts

As the sunlight dimmed on the evening of Nov. 27, 2024, Judy Kay Pfouts took her last breaths, surrounded by her children, and passed peacefully as the sun set on the day, and on her life at the age of 70. Judy was born on December 8, 1953, in Muncie, Indiana, where she met the love of her life, Stephen Pfouts. They were happily married for almost 40 years and raised 4 children together. Judy was a kind and patient person who always put others before herself and cared for family members when they got sick. She always had a positive attitude and a good word for everyone, even as she faced death. Her hobbies included watching classic movies, collecting antiques, reading, and spending fun times with her family. She donated to animal rescue charities and doted on her many pets. Her survivors include her daughters, Barbara and Gypsey Pfouts; her son, Stephen Pfouts Jr.; her nephew, Michael Horton; her great-nephew, Niko Horton; and her brothers, Michael and Bobby Mathis. Judy was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Pfouts Sr.; her daughter, Stephanie Pfouts; and her sister, Cathy Horton.
