Joseph Myatt

Joseph Myatt, of Santa Cruz, CA, peacefully passed on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the age of 79. Joe was the devoted husband of Darlene Ruble-Myatt for 49 years. He was the loving father of David Katz, Heather Myatt, and Forrest Myatt; and proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Joe is also survived by his brothers, Steve and Jerry Myatt, sister, Kathy Herr, and many friends. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Willard and Marylynn (Edwards) Myatt.

Joe was very intelligent and had a detailed driven engineer mind. Those qualities served him well in his career as an Acoustical Engineer. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. In his spare time, he enjoyed surfing in California and woodworking. He will long be remembered as a caring person who loved his family above all.
