John "Johnny" Muro Obituary

John Dennis Muro of North Huntingdon, passed away unexpectedly on March 2nd 2023 at 72 years young.  "Johnny" was the beloved Father of Shane Sunstar (Laura) Muro, Heidi Horizon (Ross) Kennedy, and Cory "Corman" Christian (Selena) Muro. The adoring Grandfather to Hayley, Shane, Hannah, Mia, Ella, Jett ,Pennylane,Great Grandson Landon and brother to Walter Muro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Americo and Ethel Hempel Muro, older brother Vince Muro, and son Cameron Chance Muro.

To say that Johnny was an enigma would be an understatement. He grew up in the streets of Wilmerding at a time any of us would envy. Graduating from Westinghouse Memorial in 1968, what some would consider the most tumultuous time our country has seen, he settled into a trade in a shop all too familiar to the locals, Tool and Die at the Westinghouse Airbrake. Alongside best friends Nick Mrdjenovich, Joey Lucarelli, and "Happy" Joe Nesta "The Fearsome Foursome" would bond friendships and memories the likes of which any of us would have been privileged to ride along.

An Obituary simply cannot do our Fathers lifetime justice. There are too many stories, good, bad and indifferent. Too many lefts, rights and forks in the road to even consider a rational roadmap he followed. Because he didn't.....follow.

We're certain if you knew our Dad, you have your own stories, your own unique memories, and without a doubt your own unapologetic opinion. He was that cliche..."One in a Million" and made an indelible impression on anyone in one of his dozens of circles. He had an almost irrational and unjustified amount of pride in his kids and grandkids. We were what drove him. Made him tick. Over 40 odd years he gave new meaning to "Journeyman" machinist and a new moral compass to the likes of credit scores.

To anyone who befriended him, he truly loved you all! From the American Legion, to the Eldorado, from the shops to the gas stations, little and pony league fields to soccer pitches. He truly felt alive with those people closest to him and we can't thank you enough for letting Johnny be Johnny.

Godspeed Dad. Here's to 20 game $20 winning streaks, endless Johnny's Shrimp and pasta and a mountaintop of green leaves! We Love You!
