Obituary
John C. Daykon, of Harrison City, passed on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the age of 78. John was the devoted husband of Roxanne (DiCenzo) Daykon. He was the loving father of John (Melissa) Daykon and Melissa (Christopher) Southern. He was the adoring Pap to Natalie and Elena Southern, and Dominick and Lucas Daykon. He is also survived by his sister, Sophie (Louis) Houck, brother-in-law, Frank (Coleen) DiCenzo, and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in passing by his parents, John and Mary (Glovach) Daykon, and siblings, Barbara and Richard Daykon.
John was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from a career as a PAT Bus Driver. He adored his grandchildren and family, and enjoyed fishing with his Pitcairn Oakhill Camp buddies, attending monthly dinners with his Rosecrest childhood crew, and vacationing at the beach with close friends.
John was a kind, honest, loving man who will be missed by all. Our thanks to everyone who loved and cared for him.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 2pm to 8pm at the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc, 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday at 1pm at St. Regis Catholic Church, Trafford. Please meet directly at the church.
