JoAnne E. (Porter) Saula

JoAnne Emilie (Porter) Saula, of North Versailles, peacefully passed on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the age of 77. JoAnne was the beloved wife of Russell Saula for 46 years. She was the loving mother of Ramona Mayger, Tracey Mayger, Harry “Bummer” (Laura) Robinson Jr., and Russell Saula Jr. Grandmother of William Moore, Thomas Moore, Zoey Saula, and Grant Robinson; great-grandmother of Naomi Snow. JoAnne was preceded in passing by her parents, Thomas and Emilie Porter, daughters, Jami Mayger and Robbie Robinson, grandson, Dylan Saula, and sister, Doris Porter. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas (Dolores) Porter, numerous nieces and nephews, and all who loved her. 

JoAnne always put everyone else first and led a life dedicated to helping others. She worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Shadyside Hospital. She was also a Life Member of West Wilmerding Volunteer Fire Department. She adored her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her dog, Axel. She also enjoyed scratch off tickets and video poker games. She recently converted to a Serbian Orthodox Christian. She was a strong woman who fought to the end including beating cancer several years ago. 

Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 2pm to 8pm at the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10am until the time as service at 11am at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, Monroeville, with Fr. Stefan Djoric officiating.
