Peacefully passed on Monday, March 14, 2022, at the age of 95. Jerry was the devoted husband of Barbara (Battung) Parisi for 62 years. He was the loving father of Sharon (Kevin) Bass, and proud grandfather of Jeremy Bass. Jerry is also survived by his sister, Millie Morris, sister-in-law, Theresa (Thomas) McNulty and Clara Parisi, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
Jerry was preceded in passing by his parents, Antonio and Consiglia (Bacarri) Parisi, his siblings, Mary Mazzie, Clara Tuscan, Edith Botti, Dominick Parisi, Joe Parisi, Rose Ruffo, and Dr. Frank Parisi, his niece, Bunny Sorokach, and nephew, Anthony Parisi.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Jerry entertained many in early years as the “Singing Bartender” of Dante’s Restaurant in Trafford. And in his later years as he strolled the James Street area of Monroeville with a smile and wave for all his neighbors
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday from 6pm-8pm and Friday from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332. A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 11am in the funeral home. Jerry will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to The Veteran Breakfast Club or Bridges Hospice.
