James M. “JD” Dunbar, of North Versailles, peacefully passed on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the age of 78. JD was the beloved husband of Sharon (Tucker) Dunbar. Loving father of the late James M. Dunbar. He also survived by his sisters, Lorraine (Dom) Zappa and Maureen Scullon, brother, Kevin (Jennifer) McGill, mother-in-law, Joann Tucker, brother-in-law, Gary (Tacy) Tucker, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends. In addition to his son, James, JD was preceded in passing by his father, Eugene Dunbar, mother, Mary Catherine (Regis) McGill, brother, Regis (surviving Jean) McGill, father-in-law, Frank “Bucky” Tucker, and brother-in-law, Ricky Tucker.
JD proudly served his country in the U.S. Airforce. Before retiring, JD worked for the Port Authority of Allegheny County. He loved playing poker, slot machines, and traveling to Atlantic City and Los Vegas. He was also an avid golfer. He enjoyed horses and dogs. Jim was a member of the Ukrainian Club in Wilmerding. He loved his family, especially his fur babies.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, April 11 from 2pm to 8pm at Alfieri Funeral Home, inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10am in St. Jude the Apostle Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Wilmerding.
