James “Jimmy” Comunale, of North Huntingdon, peacefully passed on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the age of 59, with his loving family at his side. Jimmy was the devoted husband of Pam (Mervos) Comunale. Loving stepfather of Caitlin (Kevin) O’Donnell and Paul (fiancé Roxanne) Rubinstein; adoring pap of Rhys and Margaux O’Donnell. Jimmy is also survived by his sisters, Constance (William) Darnley, Julie (Lorne) Aubin and Lisa (Gary) Howell, niece, Brooke Howell, nephew, Joshua Howell, uncle, Walter Snyder, numerous cousins, and all who loved him. He was preceded in passing by his parents, James “Fats” and Bernadette (Snyder) Comunale.
Jimmy worked as a teacher for the West Mifflin School District for 28 years. He cared about his students and took great pride in being a teacher. Before teaching, he worked at Ross Appliance for many years. For the past 30 years, he enjoyed his annual Carlisle trip with “the guys”. Jimmy also enjoyed mountain biking, beach trips and fun-filled pool days with Pam and his friends. He was a pizza aficionado and also enjoyed cooking, his specialty was spinach pie. Jimmy was also a talented and decorated woodworker. He will always be remembered for his generous and kind spirit, how he always gave to everything, and how everyone always wanted to be around him.
Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm and Thursday from Noon to 7pm at Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10am at St. Angela Merici Church of Mary Mother of God Parish, White Oak. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church.
