Isabelle (Leonard) LaRue of Plum Boro, age 90, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 12, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born in Mellon Plan (Monroeville) on July 19, 1935, Isabelle was the daughter of Constantine and Mary (Moyer) Leonard. Isabelle was the loving mother of Patricia (William) Kirkpatrick of Murrysville, beloved grandmother of Constance (Matthew) Shirey, Kristin (Michael) Cook, and Jason Kirkpatrick, great grandmother (GG) to Jakob Kirkpatrick, Connor Moody, Mason and Jackson Shirey, and step-great-grandmother to Ava Cook. Isabelle is survived by her sister-in-law Marianne (Clair) Leonard of New Jersey. Isabelle is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings Joseph (Mary) Leonard, Martin Leonard, Velma (Nicholas) Mrdjenovich, Mary Alma (Joseph) Sullivan, Edward (Patricia) Leonard, Dorothy Leonard, Ruth (James) Bacco, Rose (Michael) Uchnar, Theresa Rawson, Carl Leonard, Clair Leonard.
Isabelle worked for Pittsburgh National Bank in the stock transfer division, upon her retirement from PNB she went to work at Duquesne Light (also in the stock transfer division), and later in life, to keep herself busy, she worked at Shop N Save in Plum Boro. Isabelle loved baking holiday and wedding cookies, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved dining out and going to the movies.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 2pm to 8pm at the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Jude the Apostle Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Wilmerding.
