Irene Vasko

Irene Vasko, of Macomb Michigan, formerly of Wall, Pa, peacefully passed on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the age of 93. Irene was the loving mother of Thomas (Cathy) Vasko, Mary (Joost) Vasko- Kingma, and Barb (Gene) Federowicz. She was the adoring grandmother of Aviana and Renell Vasko, Xander, Jorian, Thijs, and Remy Kingma, Ashley, Jennifer, and Matthew Federowicz. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, sister, Betty Bonner, numerous nieces and nephews, and all who loved her. Irene was preceded in passing by her daughter, Geraldine Milcic, 1st husband, Thomas “Timmy” Milcic, 2nd husband Thomas Vasko, and parents, Steve and Ann (Vagasky) Vasko, daughter, and brother Steve Vasko.
 

Irene “Meme” was a wonderful, loving, and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and all the time she spent with them. 
 

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, June 24 from 10am to 11:45am at the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332. A Funeral Liturgy will be at 12:30pm on Saturday, June 24, at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Wall. Irene will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, North Versailles.
