George Comunale
George Comunale formerly of Level Green, passed away at Shadyside Hospital on Friday April 24, 2026 at the age of 87. George was the loving and devoted husband of Janet (Bakin) Comunale, father of Lauren (Jorge Acosta de la Pena) Comunale, and adoring “Papa Giorgio” to grandsons, Oliver and Theo. George was very devoted to his family and enjoyed gardening, cooking and laughing at family dinners. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He is survived also by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is proceeded in passing by his parents; Anthony and Pauline Comunale and all of his siblings; Helen Masters, Jennie DeFalco, Edith Christie, Lillian Fresch, Genre Comunale, Amelio Comunale, Angie Tuskan, Frank Comunale and James Comunale. Family and friends are welcome in the Alfieri Funeral Home Inc. Wilmerding, Pa on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A blessing service will be held on in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 am, followed by burial in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park with Military Honors.
