Genevieve "Jenny" (Kazusky) Oreski

Genevieve “Jenny” Oreski, 99, of Monroeville passed peacefully on Friday Aug.23. We are comforted knowing she will be reunited with her husband John "Zip" Oreski, her parents Stephen and Eleanora Kazusky, brothers Walter, Raymond, and Edward Kazusky, sister Elanore Suter. 

Jenny was a loving mother to her children Annette (Dana) Rimer, Oakdale; Joan (Jack) O'Toole, Monroeville; John (Barb) Oreski, Level Green; Michele (Rege) Peternel, Stevensville, MD; Ami Jo (Eric) Akins, Derry. She was blessed to be Grandma Jenny to her 10 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. 

Jenny was a talented crafter enjoying ceramics, cross-stitch and sewing; recipients of her gifts treasure her work. She was a member of the American Rosie Riveter Association for her work making Army helmets during the War effort at Micarta in Trafford. She was grateful to be able to attend Daily Mass until she was 96, and looked forward to her weekly salon visits. 

Her family is grateful for the wonderful care she received at LGAR, Turtle Creek, and from the 
Comfort Care Unit at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. 

Friends will be received at Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332, on Monday from 6pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, at 11am at St. Bernadette Church of Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish, Monroeville. Please meet directly at the church. Jenny will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, John, at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville. Please visit us at www.alfierifuneralhome.com for online condolences.
