Gaetano "Guy" Romano

Gaetano “Guy” Romano peacefully passed on February 27, 2026 at the age of 102. Guy was the loving father of AnnaMaria (Marty) Ross and Mario (Debra) Romano. He was the proud grandfather of Angela (Chris) Migliozzi, Melissa (Craig) Bellomo, Michael (Lyndsay) Romano, and Kayla (Tony) Dunlap; great-grandfather of Vincenzo, Sophia, Natalie, and Santino. Guy was preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Caterina (Spinelli) Romano, his parents, and 14 siblings. 

At the age of 16, he opened a tailor shop in Agropoli, Italy, eventually becoming a master tailor. After he and Caterina married, they lived in Brazil for five years. An offer to pursue the American Dream and own a tailor shop in the United States was presented to him. He was very proud of his Italian heritage but took the chance for a new opportunity and to come to the U.S. and raise his family. 

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, from 2pm to 8pm at the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. A Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 10am in the funeral home. Guy will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Caterina, at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Anne Home in Greensburg for their kindness and care for the past three years and also thank the doctors and nursing staff of Unit 1D at Westmoreland Hospital for their incredible compassion and loving care for Guy.
