Gabriel J. “Rub” Bacco

November 16, 1925 - October 29, 2020

Peacefully passed on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the age of 94. Rub was born in Wilmerding, a son of the late Joseph and late Clara (Pecora) Bacco. He was the devoted husband of the late Anna Grace (Smeltz) Bacco. He was the loving father of Gabriel Bacco and the late Cindy Hoyer. Adoring grandfather of Laura Hoyer, Michael Hoyer and Deirdra Hammock, great-grandfather of Jake, Alexis, Bryce and Nolan.  He is also survived by his siblings, John Bacco and Rose Hyde, numerous nieces and nephews and so many friends. Rub was an active and life long member of Monroeville Fire Department #3. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served during World War II. He adored is grandkids and all the time he got to spend with them. Family and Friends are welcome in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148 on Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 Pm. A blessing service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday in the funeral home. Masks are required in the funeral, also please follow social distancing guidelines.
