Elias “Lester” Betras

Peacefully passed on July 30, 2021 at the age of 94. Lester was the son late James and Anna Betras. He was the loving father of Juanita (late Frank) Wolfe, Christopher (Jody) Betras, Ann (Tom) Hargenrader, the late Joseph Betras and their sister, Valerie (Darrin) Causey. He was the proud grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 6. Lester was a proud United States Army Veteran. He was a member of the Wilmerding Fire Dept. with over 40 years of service. Lester worked for the Westinghouse Airbrake in the shipping department. In his spare time, Lester was an avid gardener and a member of the Monroeville/Pitcairn Sportsman Club.

Family and friends are welcome in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332, on Monday from 4pm to 8pm. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11am. Lester will be laid to rest with Military Honors in Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville.
