Edna M. (Huggins) Ribich

September 8, 1927 – October 7, 2020

Edna M. (Huggins) Ribich, wife of the late William Ribich Sr., passed away early Wednesday morning, October 7, 2020, at the age of 93, while surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her 8 children and their spouses, George (late Irene) Huggins, Karen (late Joe) Diaz, Donna Ribich, Kristine (Bob) Kraus, William (late Kim) Ribich Jr., Robert Ribich, Mary Joe (Frank) Heglas, Roberta (Jeff) Schellman. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Ronald (Lindsey) Huggins, Keith (Shawna) Ribich, Sherry Huggins, Stacey (Jim) Giardina, Jessica Palumbo, Kayle (Edward) Heglas-Baker, Leah Heglas, 8 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Edna was a homemaker, but worked outside of the home throughout her life. She was an involved parent. She was a PTA President, managed the Marvelette Marching Band, and was a Cub Scout Mom. Her work extended to her church family as well. Edna was a church council member, and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

When asked about her employment she would always stat with her time as a waitress and elevator operator at the Pittsburgh Elks. Edna had a variety of jobs throughout her life. Her last job was when she was in her seventies, as a check processor at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh.

To say Edna worked hard all her life would be a true understatement. She will be dearly missed.

Family and friends are welcome in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding , Pa 15148, 412-824-4332 on Saturday from 1pm till the time of service at 4pm. Due to public health guidelines, only 40 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time. Masks or face coverings are required.
