Dorothy "Tootsie" Joan Harvey

Dorothy “Tootsie” Harvey, 89, of Pitcairn, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025. Born on June 14, 1936, Dorothy was lovingly known to all as “Tootsie,” a name that perfectly reflected her kind, fun-loving spirit.

Tootsie was a warm and joyful presence in the lives of her family and friends. She had a generous heart and dedicated much of her time to volunteering with various community and church programs. Her kindness, laughter, and willingness to serve others left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is survived by her beloved sister, Lois Harvey Rectenwald; nieces Karrie (Ken) Raymond and Kristi (Shawn) Hill; nephews Kenny Harvey and Jesse (Tee) Murphy; great-nieces Torrie (Dustin) Stewart, Hailie Beiting, and Emily Hill; and great-nephew Tyler Beiting. She is also lovingly remembered by her three great-great-nieces and four great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Harvey; her mother, Dorothy Milivovich Harvey; and her brother, Kenneth Harvey.

Dorothy “Tootsie” Harvey will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her loving heart, joyful spirit, and the many lives she touched through her kindness and service.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, December 17, from Noon to 8pm, with a Pomen Service at 7pm, at the Alfieri Funeral Home Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10am at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, Monroeville, with Fr. Stefan Djoric officiating.
