Dorothy Patosky

Dorothy Patosky was born on Boyd Hill in the Wilmerding area of Patten Township, PA. to the late Joseph and Rose Kroc. She began working at Wilmerding 1 st National Bank (later Mellon Bank) in 1941 as a temporary employee earning $10.00 a week! She married Walter J. Patosky in 1948, and then later returned to fulltime work at Mellon Bank Wilmerding. At that time, it was quite liberating for a woman to work outside the home. Dorothy was known for her customer service and welcoming smile.
Dorothy was very active at St. Mark Lutheran church as a Sunday school teacher, a sacristan, and clerical assistant. She was a lifetime member
of the Norwin Elks, VFW Woman’s Auxiliary, and the Level Green Senior Community Center. She enjoyed leading devotions at church and presenting health information to senior groups.
Dorothy has enjoyed traveling to Europe, Alaska and Hawaii. She also enjoyed many activities during her time at William Penn Care Senior Suites.
Dorothy’s family is grateful for all the services provided to her by Pitcairn Meals on Wheels and Westmoreland County Area Agency on Aging.

Dorothy was the wife of the late Walter Patosky. She is survived by her children; Vera (Norman) Rhee and David (Lisa Martinelli) Patosky. Dear grandma of; Christina Billie and David Rhee and great-grandma of; Alan, Alexander, Joseph and one on the way.

Sister of Jean Mundy and the late Barbara Lissey and the late Mildred Capezzuto. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and all who loved Dorothy. 

Family and friends are welcome in the Alfieri Funeral Home Inc. 201 Marguerite Ave Wilmerding PA. on Wednesday from 2:00 until 8:00 Pm. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 Am. in the funeral home. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville PA. next to her beloved husband, Walter.
