David Tobias, of Pitcairn, peacefully passed on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the age of 83, with his loving family at his side. David was the devoted husband of Linda (Buzzard) Tobias for 55 wonderful years. He was the loving father of David (Sharon) Tobias, Scott (Samantha) Tobias, Michael (Erin) Tobias, and Steven Tobias. Adoring grandfather of Ashley, Lacie, Victoria, Sean, and Everly, and great grandfather of Harper, Rowyn, Quinton, and Kylo. David is also survived by his siblings, Arlene (Clark) Lingren, Chuck (Bernadette) Tobias, Kathy Tobias, and Anna (Joe) Sangl, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
David was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served his country from 1959 to 1965. He was a member of the Trafford American Legion and the Plum Creek Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed spending time at the Italian Club of Pitcairn and the AOH Division 17. He loved working on cars and going to car cruises with his 1963 Ford Ranchero. He also enjoyed NASCAR and drag racing. Most of all, he loved his family and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave’s memory can be made to Wounded Warrior Project or the Pitcairn Assembly of God.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday, from 2pm to 8pm at Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, PA, 15148, 412-824-4332. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11am. David will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.
