David Skalka Obituary

David Lee Skalka, Sr., 80, of Trafford, Pennsylvania, completed his earthly journey on Friday, August 12, 2022. He was a son of the late George and Anna Skalka and is survived by sister, Elaine (George) Markon.

David is also survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Harriet. Mr. Skalka is the dear father of David (Christine) Skalka, Jr., Michael (Paula) Skalka, Brian (Heather) Skalka, LoriAnn Burns, and George Kevin (Kelly) Skalka. He will be sadly missed by his 20 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

David was a 1959 graduate of Penn Joint High School in Harrison City, PA. As a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served honorably in San Bernardino, CA, until his discharge in 1968. David was also an Elder and dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in many callings.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 15 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., at the Alfieri Funeral Home in Wilmerding, PA, immediately followed by parting words. David will be laid to rest in a private service at St. Joseph Cemetery in N. Versailles, PA.
