David James Burkey

David James Burkey, of Pitcairn, peacefully passed on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the age of 67. David was the loving father of Courtinay (Alex) Delleville, Michael (Kimberly) Burkey, Joseph Burkey, and David Burkey Jr.; proud grandfather of 8. He was preceded in passing by his wife, Lynn (Higgins) Burkey, mother, Carolynn Burkey, and grandparents, Courtinay (Thomas) and Paul Burkey. 

David was a devoted husband and loving father whose heart and humor touched everyone around him. He loved cooking for family and friends, filling the kitchen with delicious meals and laughter, and could always be found enjoying a game of pool. Above all he cherished his family, offering love, guidance, and encouragement, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of his children and all who knew him. He was so loved and will be missed dearly.
