Daniel “Dan” R. Shawley passed away suddenly on May 14, 2025, in Bellingham, WA. He was born to Donald and Laura Shawley in Wilkinsburg, PA on October 24, 1952.
Dan grew up in Wilmerding, Pitcairn, and Irwin. In the early 80’s he moved west. From Nevada to California and finally put down his roots in Washington State. Bellingham became his home for over thirty years.
Dan was a loyal employee at Mt. Baker Products. Over the years he enjoyed backpacking, biking, fishing, woodworking, photography, watching all sports and golfing.
His is survived by his loving mother, Laura F. Shawley, his sisters, Nancy Wanner and Lynn Wiser, and his brother, David Shawley.
Dan is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Shawley.
Over the years he had traveled to Pennsylvania once or twice a year to visit his mother and family. His dedication to his mother is unwavering and he has come back to Pennsylvania for his final trip. But Bellingham, WA will always be his home.
