Charles “Chuck” Hotsur Jr., of North Huntingdon, passed on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the age of 94, with his loving family at his side. Chuck was the devoted husband of the late Marie (LoChiatto) Hotsur. He was the loving father of Patricia (Regis) Sakalik, Yvonne (Danny) Tracy, and Vincent (Amy) Hotsur. Proud grandfather of Monica (Charles) Daab, Deron Tracy, Lisa (Justin) Koffer, Brandon Tracy, Anthony Hotsur, and Zachary Hotsur, and great grandfather of Reagan Marie Daab. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Linda Harding and Annetta LoChiatto, special friend and neighbor, Gary Hester, his caregiver for years of dedication and love, Kim Kunak, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Chuck’s parents, late Helen (Skribich) and late Charles Hotsur Sr., immigrated to America from Czechoslovakia. His parents had 9 children, of which Chuck was the last surviving. Regarded as the Greatest Generation, Chuck proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from the Westinghouse Airbrake Company where he worked as a machinist for several decades. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Steeler and Pirate fan.
Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 2pm to 8pm in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11:30am at St. Agnes Church in Irwin. Chuck will be laid to rest with full Military Honors beside his beloved wife, Marie, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery North Versailles.
