Bridget Madden Obituary

Bridget Gomez-Madden

February 27, 1977 - November 8, 2021

How do you even begin to write an obituary for your first-born child? It is almost unbearable. To think these thoughts stains my heart with darkness and pain. Yet the Bridget we knew and loved, was anything but that. Bridget was filled with love for her family and her friends but her health issues of lupus and diabetes brought on unimaginable demons. Although she fought often, she gave in often. That is the nature of that beast. The only consolation I can find in this nightmare is that she is free of it and she is with Jesus and so many who love her.
Please remember the Bridget who was the center of friends and family. Bridget was hysterically funny. If you were in her orbit, you were laughing. To the point of wetting your pants. She loved going with friends to comedy clubs and met many celebrities- and she has the photos to prove it. She did spot-on imitations of so many-Pittsburghers were a specialty.
Concerts were a big part of her younger days and then, karaoke if she had the chance. She had a good voice and if music was playing, she was singing or at the very least, humming. As soon as she got in the car, she was changing stations to find something to sing to. She loved the Beatles and always said Imagine should be played when she left this world.
She loved animals. Her Rosie and Wilfie along with the many she is already with again. Especially Max and Mork.
Finally-her family. Her children were so very loved. Edward (Eddie-Devin), Jason (JJ- wife Mackayla) and Olivia (Livy love). She adored her grandson Kyle and looked forward to a granddaughter in February. She leaves her brother Jason Gomez (Lauren) and sister Celeste Delaney. She leaves many family members in Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Texas as well as Edward Madden.
And lastly, her mother Karen Peterson. Through all the pain and struggles, my heart belonged to you first. Not a day will pass that I won't think of you. I will never stop loving my Bridget.
