Beverly Hope (Battista) Shearer

Beverly Hope (Battista) Shearer, age 86, of Pitcairn, Pa entered eternal rest on June 10, 2023 from cancer, with her family at her bedside. Born March 6, 1937 in Stowe Twp, Pa. Daughter of the late Constantino Battista and Josephine Battista (Napoli). Married to Samuel Douglas Shearer since 1957. Preceded in death by brother Aruther “Butch” Battista and son, Samuel Douglas Shearer Jr. Surviving are her brother Robert A. Battista, sons Thomas (Rose) Shearer and Douglas A. Shearer, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Prior to retirement, Beverly worked at Flemmings Market and Esmans Sporting Goods in Pitcairn, Pa. She belonged to 1st Presbyterian Church of Pitcairn. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fire Company #2 of Pitcairn and Eastern Star Corinth Chapter – 229. She was loved by many and enjoyed holidays, cooking and baking, and spending time with family.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday from 2pm to 8pm at Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10am. Beverly will be laid to rest at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon, Pa.
