Peacefully passed on May 24, 2022, at the age of 96. Bea was born on September 26, 1925, in Turtle Creek, PA. She was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Tamarelli) Giannangeli. She was a 1943 Graduate of Turtle Creek High School, where she met her future husband William “Bill” Ciao. The high school sweethearts married in 1947. They spent 68 wonderful years together, until Bill's passing in 2015. In 1957, they built a home on Bill’s father's farm in Monroeville, where they lived until 2012, when they moved to San Diego to be closer to family.

Bea is survived by her loving children, Dr. William L. (Susan) Ciao and Barbara A. (Tom) Behrle. She was the adoring grandmother of April (Travis Flynn) Ciao, Anna (Tyronne Horrace) Ciao, Anthony Behrle, and Lauren (Peter) Lemos; great-grandmother of River and Cris Flynn, Rainier and Cora Ciao-Horrace. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Bendinelli, Linda Baros (Jim) McAlister, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Bea was preceded in passing by her brother, Joseph G’Angeli and his wife Betty, and brothers-in-law, Frank Baros, and Lee Bendinelli.

After graduating high school, Bea worked for Bell Telephone. She left in 1951 to be a full time mom and homemaker. She was very active in her kids' schools, and served as the President of the PTA. Bea went back to work in the mid 1970’s at the Mellon Bank Branch in Wilmerding, where she retired from 15 years later. Bea was an active member of McMasters United Methodist Church in Turtle Creek. She spent her golden years traveling with her husband, Bill. They went to Europe twice, Atlantic City many times, Las Vegas, Monterey, Hawaii and Washington State.
