Barbara Novakovich Obituary

Peacefully passed on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the age of 91. Barbara was the former spouse of the late Charles Novakovich. She was the loving mother of Mark (Lois) Novakovich and Roy (Cathy) Novakovich; adoring grandmother of Ryan Charles and Noelle Novakovich. She is also survived by her brother, John Miljus, sister-in-law, Pat Miljus and sister-in law, Martha Rubino, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends. Barbara was preceded in passing by her parents, Eli and Mary (Scarlett) Miljus, her brothers, George, Nick and Pete Miljus, and her sisters, Mildred Miljus, and Marie Dudek,

Barbara was the Co-Founder of Twin Oaks Restaurant in White Oak, which her son Mark carries on the legacy. She was a very independent person, who possessed a lot of wisdom. She had a strong faith in God, and a member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church. She loved her family, especially her grandkids, and all the time she spent with them.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 2pm to 8pm in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa 15148, 412-824-4332. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 10am at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, Monroeville PA. with the Father Stefan Djoric officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church Tuesday. Barbara will be laid to rest at Long Run Cemetery, North Huntingdon. Please visit us at, www.alfierifuneralhome.com for online condolences.
