Vincent Mezeivtch
Died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on December 28, 2018. After graduating high school, Vincent enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving with the 93rd Air Refueling Squadron. After discharge, he began a 37 year career with the PA Dept. of Labor and Industry; starting as a temporary Unemployment Claims Interviewer and retiring as Manager of the Mon Valley Job Center. He developed and established the First Trade Readjustment Act Project in the U.S. and coordinated all regional veteran programs. Vince was a loving a constant care giver for his son, Mark and daughter, Debbie through their years of battling Huntington’s disease. He enjoyed playing golf, watching football and vacations in Aruba. In January, Vince would be celebrating 16 years of sobriety. To God Be the Glory. His family would like to thank the staff at Independence Court in Monroeville and the staff at UPMC East, 5 East Wing for their love and excellent care. Vince is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marlene (Bogi) Mezeivtch. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Vince and Mary (Rolnik), first wife, Joanne (Comito), son, Mark, daughter, Deborah and brother, Eugene (surviving Elsie). He is also survived by son, John, 4 Grandchildren; Chad, Amber, Leah and Jonathan; 6 great grandchildren, Josalynn, Ja’elle, Axton, Keyawn, Aralynn and Airemy, brother-in-law, Dennis (Betty) Bogi, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends received in the Alfieri Funeral Home Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, 412-824-4332, on Wednesday from 1-4pm and 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in St Jude the Apostle. Vince will be laid to rest in New St. Joseph Cemetery with Military Honors.
