Peacefully on September 13 2017 age 90. Rudy was regarded as the Greatest Generation. He served his country in the US Army. He retired from Westinghouse after 30 years and was also a chef at the former Holiday House in Monroeville. He was a member of the former Wilmerding Lyons Club and enjoyed fishing and bowling. He is survived by his children; Darlene (Dave) Fairfull, John (Gina) and Rudy (Donna) Ruffo Jr. and Gloria Brodie. Special Pap of Darin (Brenda) Fairfull, Dana (Frank) Grubbs, Amber (John) Clatty, and Kara (Tom) Dugas. Great Grand Pap of 6. Brother of Amy Morris, Mary Jean Mitchell, and Joe Ruffo. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Mildred "Milly" (Haler) Ruffo. Friends welcome to celebrate Rudy’s life on Monday from 2:00 until 8:00 Pm at Alfieri Funeral Home Inc. Wilmerding 412-824-4332. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday (Sept 19th) at 11:00 Am. Internment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park with military honors to follow.
