Pete Cortazzo

Age 95 of Wilmerding died peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

Pete was a Veteran of the  U.S. Army, where he served as a medic and member of the Army Baseball Team. Pete  was retired from the

Westinghouse Airbrake  Co. in Wilmerding and was truly regarded

as one from the “Greatest Generation” . He was   the last survivor of his

brothers and sisters of the Cortazzo family. He was a son

of the late Nicholas and Rosella Cortazzo. Beloved  husband of the

late Dolores Cortazzo. Loving father of

Rosella (Tom) Hoffmann, Dolores Miklos and

Angela (Rich) Deanovich. Devoted grandfather of

Zachary Miklos, Luke Deanovich, Therese Hoffmann

and Marisa Deanovich. Brother of the late

Mary  Womer, Carmine, Patsy, James, Frank, John, Anthony,

Joseph, Margaret and Philomena Cortazzo. Also survived by

numerous nieces and nephews and all who loved him.

On Thursday from 5:00-8:00 PM and Friday from 2-8 PM.

Parting prayers at the funeral home on Saturday at

9:00 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial in

St. Jude the Apostle  Church at  10;00 AM. Entombment with
