Paul A. Bigos, 67, of Wall, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, surrounded by his family. Paul was a retired educator, math/science curriculum coordinator and high school soccer coach for the Gateway School District. He was a celebrated musician and was so loved by his family, friends and fellow musicians. He left a beautiful imprint on the hearts of those whose lives he touched, and everyone has a special story to tell. He was a son of the late William and Elizabeth Bigos; beloved husband of 42 years of Deborah A. (Thompson) Bigos; loving father of Christopher Bigos, Elizabeth (Erik) Beard, Joanna Bigos, Julie (Gary) Herndon and Katherine (Marc) Cordisco; devoted grandfather of Gage and Greyson Bigos, Carson and Maisie Beard, Henry, Oliver and baby girl Herndon and baby boy Cordisco; brother of Dr. William (Dr. Linda) Bigos and Arlene (William) Szmuc; and son-in-law of Ann (the late Raymond) Thompson. He is also survived by numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, PA 15148 (412- 824-4332). Parting prayers will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Entombment will be at New St. Joseph Cemetery.
