Sadly on December 23, 2018, at age 73, Margie lost her courageous 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Margie was the daughter of the late Albert and Stella (Wegrzynek) Thomas. Beloved sister of John (Valerie) Thomas and Linda (late Eugene) McAnany. Special aunt of Ivan (Maggie) Thomas, Nathan Thomas, Carrie (Robbie Wratcher) McAnany and Jonathan McAnany; Great aunt of Annabelle and Lila Thomas. Margie was an avid participant and supporter of the Purple Stride Walk for Pancreatic Cancer. She was a member of the Friendship Club and Senior Center in Monroeville, and was a member of the St. Jude Rosary Society. Margie was an excellent baker and candy maker. Family and friends are welcome in the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, 412-824-4332, on Thursday from 2pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Jude the Apostle Church on Friday at 10am. Margie will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery.
