Ann Cervo

Ann Cervo age 65 passed away on June 5, 2018, after a three year battle with Ocular Melanoma.  She fought cancer just as she lived life-with courage, determination, humor, and above all, her unwavering faith.  She was an active member of St. Angela Merici Church and used her sewing passion and talent to make beautiful church banners.   She generously donated her time to various charitable causes throughout her life.  She was a gracious and loving wife, mother and grandmom who will be greatly missed by the many that she touched with her warm heart.   Rosary will be recited Friday at 3:30 p.m.  A Pomen service will be held 7:00 p.m. on Friday.    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to:  “Jefferson - Uveal Melanoma Research”   Office of Institutional Advancement at Jefferson, 125 S. 9th Street, Suite 600, Philadelphia, Pa. 19107. Ann was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Yake) Horney. Survived by beloved husband Michael Cervo of 43 years.Loving Mom of Michelle (Jason) Hernandez, Anthony (Ronna), Nicholas .Special grandmother of Brady, Collin, Nate, Dominic. Dear Sister of  John (Elaine), William, Richard, David, Catherine (Marshall) Fair, Margaret (John) Barney. Sister of the late Suzanne Strohecker,  Michael & Thomas Horney. Sister in law of  Rev. Joseph (Linda) Cervo, Gloria Knowlson, Angela Labuda. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.   Friends are welcome in the Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, Pa. 15148 on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 pm and Friday from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00.   Additional visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00am until the 11:00am Mass of Christian burial in St. Angela Merici Church, White Oak.  Ann will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery in North Versailles, Pa.
